The Book Marketing Audit with Kilby Blades

Does it feel like you’ve tried everything to market your book and you’re not getting the sales you want? Have you read countless advice articles and purchased expensive courses promising the keys to help step up your game and you’re just not seeing the results? "The Book Marketing Audit" will teach you to stop copying marketing approaches that may have worked for other authors but that just aren’t right for you. The most successful marketers don’t blindly follow broad advice—they leverage their own data to solve problems from within. This presentation will discuss:

• Identifying your author brand’s strengths and weaknesses

• Choosing tactics based on the size and structure of your library

• Technical infrastructure to support robust reporting

• Using the right lenses to analyze, and optimize, your results

• How to do targeting like an advertising pro

• Prioritizing and staying on the critical path

Bio

Kilby Blades is a fresh new voice in smart contemporary romantic fiction. A business executive by day, by night she writes dynamic characters in to (and out of) tantalizingly complex predicaments. Critics laud her “feminist romance”, noting empowered heroines and multi-dimensional heroes who are staunch advocates for their partners, stepping back from their own spotlights in order to let their women shine. From dry wit in her angstier books, to blatant humor in her lighter ones, her characters are resplendent in their witty repartee. All her stories, regardless of genre, serve up delicious dilemmas and never-before-seen plots.

Her debut novel, Snapdragon (2017) was a ten-time finalist and a three-time winner for honors including the IPPYs, the Publisher's Weekly BookLife Prize For Fiction, the Foreword Indie Award, the HOLT Medallion, the New England Reader's Choice Award and the OKRWA National Reader's Choice award. Its sequel, Chrysalis was a finalist in the Emma Awards. Her novella, The Art of Worship, was an IndieReader winner, a HOLT Medallion finalist, and a Passionate Plume finalist. Two of her three soon-to-be-released titles were 2018 Stiletto Contest finalists and the third was a finalist in the CIMRWA awards. She is also the 2018 recipient of Best Debut Author in RSJ’s Emma Awards.
